| CH Celtic Champagne has reached Platinum Level on our SASH Awards
scheme (May 2008), the first Saddlebred to do so. Awards will be presented at
our AGM in October. |
| CH Celtic Champagne (owned by Lynn Jarvis) was crowned Saddlebred
Performance Champion at the BMHS Spring Show on 24th May. Even Worse
(owned by Lynn Herd) was crowned Saddlebred Performance Reserve Champion as
well as Saddlebred In Hand Champion. Kumala Champagne (owned by Lynn
Jarvis) was crowned Saddlebred In Hand Reserve Champion. Comanche Deuce
(owned by David Whittard) was crowned Partbred Saddlebred In Hand Champion &
Sassy Lass Royale (owned by Paula Thomas) was crowned Partbred
Saddlebred In Hand Reserve Champion. |
| Even Worse was crowned both the European Saddlebred In Hand
Champion & the European Saddlebred Performance Champion at the USA-UK
Championship Show on 4th May. In addition he took Reserve in the Open Breed
Senior In Hand Championships. Comanche Deuce was crowned European
Saddlebred Partbred Champion, Open Breed Western Champion & European
Saddlebred Reserve Performance Champion. Even Better Than Worse was
crowned European Saddlebred In Hand Reserve Champion. CH Celtic Champagne
was crowned Open Breed Western Reserve Champion and Kumala ChampagneOpen
Breed Junior In Hand Champion. |
| Registration, passport application and transfer of ownership fees remain
unchanged for members, although there has been a slight increase for
non-members. |
| Royal London Show changes dates AND venue - it is now on 29th - 31st
August at the East of England Showground, Peterborough. |
| 2008 USA-UK European Championship Show is a Qualifier for
the Morgan Grand National in Oklahoma City October 4th - 11th - top 4 Morgans
in their respective classes qualify. In addition the show is a qualifier for
the British Palomino Society Champion of Champions, the British Skewbald &
Piebald Association's World Championship of Colour and the Royal London Show. |
| SASH Awards have been extended. As well as earning Championship status
upon reaching 5,000 performance points, the "Platinum Award" is to be
presented at 10,000 points and the "Solar Award" at 20,000 points. |
| Show dates for 2008 confirmed and includes the
European Saddlebred
Championships on 4th May and the Saddlebred of Britain classes on 26th - 28th
September. |
| 2008 AGM will be in October and be a 2-day event in Cumbria. Day will will
feature a clinic and a social event and day 2 the AGM, members meeting and
silent auction. |
